It is first come, first

signed up this year. Due to overwhelming interest, we will cut off each group at no more than 20 entries. Judges have the discretion to move entries between categories based on skill level presented. We hope to offer a juried contest soon.

Our categories for the contest this year will be under 2 different judging styles, Presentation or Craftsmanship and under 2 experience levels, Novice and Experienced.

Novice- This category is for people who have never competed in a Cosplay Contest or who have never won a 1st place or Best in Show. We want to encourage new cosplayers to grow in this hobby by giving them a place to compete with people who have the same skill sets.

Experienced- This category is for anyone who has EVER won 1st place OR Best in Show at ANY cosplay convention. This is to encourage our experienced cosplayers to grow in their crafts and to compete against their peers.

Presentation- Judging will be on stage during your performance. This category will focus on the presentation of the character, costume, and creativeness of your performance in character. This year, this category will be a walk on “Runway” style presentation. We hope to bring a wider range of performance options next year.

Craftsmanship- This is a walk on “Runway” style category focusing on the creation and techniques of the costume. This is a pre-judged category; contestants must have made at least 75% of the costume. and otherwise premade patterns is allowed, but will count against your hand-made percentage. More consideration will be given to those that create their own files.
